Biography

Robert Dekker brings over 20 years of international experience in communications, brand development, and brand stewardship to Footprint. He has held communications, marketing, and sales positions in the USA and Europe and worked across 20+ industries and 100+ countries. Before Footprint, he held leading communications positions with large international corporations, such as Greenfield Global, Lutron Electronics, DuPont, Chemours, Wolters Kluwer, and Grace, with increasing responsibility. Robert has built and developed communications teams, designed communications strategies, and demonstrated execution leading to successful campaign completions that supported corporate strategies. He has served on company leadership teams, contributing to key strategic decisions that have enabled organizations to grow in existing and emerging markets. Robert has also led the integration plans of 10+ strategic acquisitions. He translates ambitious corporate goals into communications strategies resulting in higher revenues and greater brand awareness.

Robert holds an international executive MBA from the University of Portsmouth (UK) and the University of Maryland, and an undergraduate degree in international business from the Haarlem Business School (The Netherlands). He recently received accreditation from the Rotterdam School of Management (The Netherlands) for Driving Business towards Sustainability Development Goals.

Robert has traveled extensively for business and pleasure. He is fluent in English and Dutch, with a working knowledge of French and German.
