Biography
Salvador Montes is the Vice President of Global Operations at Footprint. In this role, he leads the company’s global manufacturing, supply chain, and operations strategy with a focus on scalability, efficiency, and sustainable growth.
Salvador brings more than 20 years of experience in global operations leadership. His expertise spans multi-site operations management, lean manufacturing, digital transformation, and end-to-end supply chain strategy. He has successfully led large-scale transformation efforts including mergers and acquisitions, greenfield and brownfield startups, and operational turnarounds in complex, highly regulated environments.
Before joining Footprint, Salvador held senior leadership roles at Resolve Surgical Technologies, Fender Musical Instruments, Burrana Inc., Bombardier Aerospace, and UTC Aerostructures.
Salvador earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) – Campus Querétaro. He also completed executive studies in Operations Strategy at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, earned a diploma in Lean Manufacturing from McGill University, and holds a CPIM certification from APICS. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.
